Youth STEM Education

Youth For Humanity empowers young people ages 16-24 across North America and the Caribbean, through educational programs in science, technology, and creative digital arts.

Our STEM programs offer hands-on workshops that break down barriers to equip all youth with the skills needed to excel in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). Our core featured workshops include:

Program Structure

Summer STEM Week

  • Day 1: Intro to AI & Machine Learning

  • Day 2: Coding Basics (Python or Block Coding)

  • Day 3: Robotics & Engineering Challenges

  • Day 4: Renewable Energy & Smart Grids

  • Day 5: Innovation Showcase (families and community invited)

School-Year 3-Day STEM Workshops

Each workshop runs for three days (after school or Saturdays), offered once each fall, winter, and spring.

Workshop 1: Fall – Coding & Digital Problem Solving

  • Introduction to algorithms

  • Interactive coding projects

  • Mini-hackathon team challenge

Workshop 2: Winter – Robotics & Engineering Foundations

  • Understanding sensors, motors, circuits

  • Team-based robotics builds

  • Engineering design challenge

Workshop 3: Spring – AI for Good & Real-World Applications

  • How AI is used in everyday life

  • Ethics & digital responsibility

  • Students design an “AI for Good” idea to benefit their community
