    Oduntan Gordon

    In addition to serving as President and Board Chair of Youth of Humanity, Oduntan currently serves as a Compliance Financial Business Partner and Grant Manager of GSMA Foundation, an organization that collaborates with all the cell phone companies of the world and the UK government to improve the lives of underserved communities, primarily in Africa and Asia. His role with the GSMA Foundation primarily includes reviewing all Grants to ensure reporting compliance standards are maintained. Oduntan’s portfolio of Grants ranges from various private and Government donors, which funds over 10 international programs. In addition, he is a member of the GSMA Financial Reporting system developer team.

    Originally from Grenada, (West Indies), Oduntan came to the US and received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from DeVry University. For over 10 years before GSMA, his professional focus has been in humanitarian causes. He was the Private Revenue Accounting Analyst for C.A.R.E (Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere), Senior Accountant for The Martin Luther King Center, and Regional Accountant for the Salvation Army Georgia Headquarters.

    In his spare time, Oduntan heads a local chapter of The Columbian Squires Youth Organization, a regional, non-profit organization for young men ages 10-18.

    Peter Melton

    Peter officially joined Youth for Humanity in June of 2020 and is serving on the Board of Trustees. He currently operates as the Chief Financial Officer of the organization, and his roles include keeping track of donations and expenses, writing end-of-year contribution letters, and documenting receipts.

    Prior to joining Youth for Humanity, Peter served in the Columbian Squires, a regional non-profit organization, including as President and VP of the local chapter. In 2023, Peter graduated from Emory University with a business degree from the Goizueta Business School. 

    At the moment, Peter currently works at Truist Securities as a Debt Capital Markets Analyst, helping investment grade companies raise debt financing for capital investments, repayment of outstanding debt, and other corporate purposes.

    Dr. Mary Horton

    Mary Kollmer Horton is the Director of the Medical Student Research Office, Assistant Professor in the Office of Educational Programs, and Adjunct Faculty with the McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics.  Dr. Horton holds two master’s degrees from Columbia University, one in Sociomedical Sciences (MPH) and one in Psychiatric Epidemiology (MA), and recently earned an interdisciplinary humanities doctorate (PhD) from Emory University entitled An (Un)Natural Alliance: Medical Education and the Humanities. The Rise and Fall of the Institute on Human Values in Medicine (1971-1981). This work focuses on mid to late-twentieth-century efforts to integrate humanities into medical education and uses the tools of historical analysis and sociological theories to understand the complexities of incorporating humanities content into medical education. Horton’s academic interests include the use of humanities in professional education, the history of American medical education, gerontology, the history of psychiatric care, and recent efforts in neurodiversity.

    Prior to arriving at McGovern Medical School, Dr. Horton was an Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Professional Development at Emory University’s Laney Graduate School and a member of the leadership of Emory’s School of Medicine MD/PhD Program leadership team. She has served on the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) committees related to physician-scientist training and presented on the importance of training physician scholars in non-traditional fields, such as the humanities and social sciences. She currently serves on the AAMC Southern Group for Education Affairs (SGEA) Humanities in Medicine Special Interest Group. Horton has over 20 years of experience working with adult learners on professional development and academic advancement.

    Dr. Marilyn Tom

    Marilyn is a strategy execution and problem-solving expert, with over 20 years of experience from large-scale organizations in the Canada/US such as TD Bank, Capital One, Johnson & Johnson, Rogers Communications, Ford Motor Company, and Andersen Consulting. She is currently the Senior Manager of Strategy & Planning at CARE USA’s headquarters in Atlanta, helping to manage a $700 million annual budget to impact 200 million people by 2030. Marilyn holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Georgia State University, dual international MBAs from Georgia State University and the University of Paris I (Sorbonne), and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Mathematical Sciences (Computers) and Neuroscience from the University of Toronto. She is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, ScrumMaster, and university-level teacher – and enjoys hiking, tennis, golfing, skiing, and karaoke in her spare time.

    Jean-Francois Louf

    Dr. Jean-François Louf is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at Auburn University. He did his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. in France and finished his training through multiple short-term research positions in different institutions worldwide, ending with a two-year postdoctoral appointment at Princeton University. He is an expert in Plant Biomechanics, Polymer Physics, Acoustics, and overall Fluid and Elasticity couplings. Dr. Louf is also a former middle school teacher very involved with outreach events and mentoring, as indicated by his collaboration with the Alabama School of Maths or his supervision of E-Day at Auburn University.

    Judith Azcunes is the Project Manager for the GSMA North America Technology team, supporting the planning, development and implementation of different initiatives in the Regions including GSMA Tech4Girls Programme and GSMA events. Judith is a certified Project Manager Professional (PMP) with more than 18 years of experience managing projects in the Americas and the Caribbean. Prior GSMA, Judith worked in Automated Data Collection systems implementation. Judith has also a strong background in Finance and Business Development and worked for 14 years as board member of ACAMECA, part of Eugenio Mendoza Foundation, providing micro-credit to small entrepreneurs, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank.

    Lydia is the Operations Analyst for GSMA North America, working and living in Atlanta, Georgia. Passionate about the intersection of technology and communication, Lydia works on the communications and development efforts for GSMA North America. Her areas of focus also include event planning, regional project support and aid for the GSMA Tech4Girls Program (gsma.com/tech4girls). Lydia’s love for innovation and problem-solving drives her to explore cutting-edge solutions that push the boundaries of communication systems.

    Lydia holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Agnes Scott College. This academic foundation has equipped her with the skills to delve into the complexities of communication systems within a globalized world.

    Michael Haynes

    He oversees the technology and data needs, while also keeping a monitor on all digital and social media platforms to maintain network stability. He provides tech support on computer hardware, iPads, and cellular devices that are needed to maintain the communication needs of the non-Profit. He provides consulting to the other members of the Youth4Humanity team based on any new technical needs of the organization. He also implements suggestions for new applications or services that will help the non-profit run more efficiently from a technical standpoint.

    Prior to joining Youth4Humanity, Michael was the Information Technology Consultant for the graphic design small business Mirror’D. Michael provided technical support for the home business, performed updates of the numerous graphic design software needed to run the business, installed and maintained computer hardware peripherals, and provided network support when needed. Michael has over a decade of experience in information technology, network support, and computer coding. Michael is a firm believer of always expanding his knowledge base in the field of information technology and keeping himself up to date on the latest changes to tech. Michael is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security at Middle Georgia State University.
